Eleri came to BeFit at a time when exercise felt like the last thing she wanted to do.
After undergoing back surgery, the months leading up to it had been incredibly difficult. She could barely walk, and with Christmas and New Year in the mix, she found herself gaining weight and feeling far from her best.
To make matters more challenging, Eleri had never really enjoyed the gym and had never exercised regularly. But she knew she needed to get stronger, lose weight, and rebuild her fitness to protect her back long term.
The Challenge
Before starting personal training with Ben at BeFit, Eleri wasn’t confident that exercise would become part of her life.
In fact, she openly admits she hated the gym.
After months of limited movement due to her back issues, she was feeling heavier, less energetic, and unsure where to begin. She initially thought personal training might simply be a short-term kickstart — maybe just a few weeks to help her get going.
But things turned out very differently.
Why She Nearly Didn’t Start
Like many people starting a fitness journey, Eleri wasn’t sure if she would stick with it.
Her previous experience with exercise hadn’t been positive, and she worried that training sessions might feel overwhelming.
However, after meeting with Ben to discuss her goals, needs, and nutrition, she began to feel more confident. His thorough approach reassured her that she was in the right hands.
The Turning Point
The first training session was tough — really tough.
But Ben reassured Eleri that she wouldn’t always feel that way after a workout… and he was right.
Within just one week, something changed.
Instead of dreading exercise, Eleri found herself completely hooked. The sessions were varied, supportive, and encouraging, and she started to see how training could help her not only lose weight but also build strength to protect her back.
The Results
Since starting her journey with BeFit in June, Eleri has achieved incredible results:
39 lbs lost (nearly 3 stone)
Noticeably smaller clothing sizes
Loose-fitting jeans where they were once tight
More energy and positivity
Stronger body to support her back
A consistent and enjoyable exercise routine
Here’s what she had to say:
“I hate the gym. I’ve never really exercised regularly… until now. Within a week I was hooked. I’ve lost 39lbs, have much more energy, and feel so much more positive. The sessions are fun, varied and encouraging — you can’t help but get caught up in Ben’s enthusiasm.”
What This Means for You
If you think you hate the gym, Eleri’s story might sound very familiar.
Many people believe fitness just isn’t for them — especially after injuries, setbacks, or years of avoiding exercise.
But with the right coaching, support, and environment, exercise can become something you actually enjoy.
